The Making of GaGa's Workshop Barney's New York (Before and After and more) by Stellarhead
also check out the wacky website, which makes pretty good use of html5.
there is also an additional interactive project to this, “Constellation Gaga,” which … “enables visitors to Barney’s to Tweet their Holiday wishes to Gaga’s Constellation, where they will be streamed live on the http://www.prysm.comlaser phosphor display (LPD) and hosted on a website.”
more on that from the official release… ”Working with Q4, a NYC-based experiential digital agency, the window will feature a new collaborative film by director Tim Richardson and creative director, Nicola Formichetti. The interactive short film is sponsored by a White Label Product with post production by The Mill, screen technology by Prysm, and interactive experience design by Moving Image & Content and The Science Project. “
this is gorgeous. though “Three Elements” by Nam June Paik still stands as my favorite laser work to date (of course I saw that in person so perhaps there is some bias there), but this is definitely second, and the interactivity makes it that much more interesing. would love to see it in person at some point.
Lovely short about sword maker Korehira Watanabe. I have quite amount of gratitude for this short, as I have been a consummate a fan of the remaining swordsmiths in Japan. I have a small but thorough library here at home with many of these works, and it’s likely each will out last all of us by hundreds of years.
file this one under “where are they now”. pretty interesting to see Charanjit all these years after is seminal release, and now re-release. Perhaps his wife will let him out to play in america someday…
